It’s an honor of a lifetime to share that Sutter Santa Rosa has asked She Can Club to be a model group in their annual Catwalk For A Cure fundraiser this year.

As many of you know, the reason She Can Club exists is because my step-dad got cancer in 2021 and died within 58 days. During those 58 days, Sutter became a second home to our family.

After he died, I was at his funeral listening to people share stories about his life. Specifically about the way he was always everyone’s first call when they needed help, and how he served everyone everywhere he could.

I asked myself the question:

“Am I living for my resume or my eulogy?” Back then, my eulogy would have been about how good I was at working and making money.

That caused me to pause and reflect on what I was doing with my life. I banned myself from making money and shifted my focus to “How am I showing up and serving this world?” in honor of Rob.

Through that self discovery process, I came up with the idea for She Can Club. I realized that if I focus on service first, money will come when it was meant to.

She Can Club was launched 4 months after he died, in September of 2021, and the lessons I learned during those 58 days and beyond still drive She Can Club’s mission to this day.

Now, 4 years later, I have built a community that has had such an impact in Sonoma County that I’m being asked to partner with Sutter. They had no idea they were part of the origin story of She Can Club, which makes this that much more special to me.

Because of She Can Club, I have become friends with some incredible women who have gone through hell and back because of cancer. I am honored to have some of them representing She Can Club on this stage.

Please join me in donating to Team She Can Club at Catwalk For A Cure 2025 happening on October 3rd. All funds will benefit Sutter’s Cancer Support and the Institute for Health & Healing Services.

No donation is too small. Every dollar counts towards the fight to saving people’s lives. 💖
